These earrings were made using gunmetal wire and hooks, and brass rings. They feature white glass pearls, a nugget bead made from abalone shell, and iridescent seed-bead spacers and "teardrop" beads. There are also two disk-shaped, silver-color, metal spacers on either side of the shell bead unit. The wire is a dark-silver color.
I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the abalone shell is. It's extremely variable in color due to its iridescent qualities, but varies from green to blue to purple. The teardrops at the bottom are also quite neat; they tend towards purple, but also contain blue, green, and gold highlights. The dangles at the sides and bottom add lots of fun movement to these earrings.
-3 1/8" long from top of hook to bottom of teardrop
-5/8" wide (at teardrops)
